This trip encompasses the best of Thailand’s famous tropical south. Starting in Bangkok, we travel south to the gulf of Thailand to Koh Samui, famous for its coconut palms, and then head to the stunning Kao Sok national park, famed for it towering cliffs and kayaking. We stay overnight here on the edge of a spectacular dam that is raely visited by other companies. Next stop is the Krabi area, where we stay by a peaceful beach and then head out for a day of island hopping and snorkeling before we set camp, on a beautiful secluded island. We head onto Koh Phi Phi, now famed as the setting for The Beach before finishing our journey on Thailand’s largest island, Phuket or in Krabi the choice is yours.

Day 1: Bangkok
You arrive on this day, take it easy, unpack, relax and then we’ve got a meeting in the evening to discuss our trip.

Day 2: Bangkok
After breakfast we do a half day city tour taking in the Grand Palace, The Emerald Buddha temple and Reclining Buddha using local buses, river taxis and take the sky train back to the hotel. Your afternoon is free to explore, shop or just chill out. Early evening we go to the train station and take the overnight train down to Surratani.

Day 3: Koh Samui
We get off the train and have breakfast before we head to a bus then a ferry to the beautiful island of Koh Samui. We transfer to our beachside bungalows at Mae Nam beach, one of the quietest and stunning beaches. The afternoon is free to explore, relax, swim and eat some of the yummy local seafood.

Day 4: Koh Samui
After breakfast we set off a half hour island tour visiting the Big Buddha temple, Grandfather Rock, mummified monk and waterfall for swimming. We go back to the hotel and you have an afternoon free. Ask your guide for ideas if you’d like a more active afternoon.

Day 5: Kao Sok National Park
Leave early and catch the ferry back to the mainland, a two hour trip. Then we catch a local songtaew to Cheawlan Dam, which is a part of one of Thailand’s most stunning national parks, Kao Sok. In the park we take a long tail boat to our home for the night, a set of bungalows along the dam side. We can take time to go fishing or kayaking.

Day 6: RaiLay Beach
Have a sleep in or get up early to see the sunrise, the choice is yours as you have a free morning to relax. We leave by long tail boat in the afternoon. We then take a two hour songtaeow journey to Krabi on the west side of the coast. Krabi is renowned for its amazing towering limestone cliffs. We stay overnight here in YarYar resort by the beach.

Day 7: RaiLay Beach

A free day to get active (or be lazy!). Krabi is famous for its rock climbing and sea kayaking, both of which can be easily arranged. Or perhaps a leisurely game of football on the beach or just relax out with a good book.

Day 8: Bamboo Island camping
We leave the coast to head out to some of Thailand most stunning and scattered islands. We head out by speedboat to one of the most well kept secrets of the area, Bamboo island, to go beach camping. (but don’t worry there’s a proper loo!!)There are visitors during the morning but after two you will probably have the island all to yourselves! So go explore and snorkel and enjoy the peace.

Day 9: Koh Phi Phi
Get up early and make the best of the tourist-free snorkeling in the morning. Then catch the speedboat to Koh Phi Phi Lay and visit Viking cave which is famous for its birds which make the Chinese herbal pick-me-up Bird’s Nest drink. Next onto Maya beach, where The Beach was filmed. Moving onto a lagoon surrounded by towering granite cliffs. The crystal clear water is a fantastic place for swimming and just relaxing. Finally we head to Phi Phi Don, the main beach where we eat a buffet lunch.Check into our bungalows and enjoy the sunset.

Day 10: Koh Phi Phi
Free day to go diving, rock climbing, sea kayaking or something less active!

Day 11: Phuket/Krabi
This is the final day of our tour. We eat breakfast together. Your choices of final transfer destinations are Krabi or Phuket (international airport here). If you would like to go to the North of Thailand or Bangkok please let us know and we would be more than happy to help organize this for you. There are direct flights from Phuket to Chiang Mai.
