When Next Step Thailand team set out to choose the right provider for our guests, we made our choice based on safety standards and records of the companies, their environmental, sustainable and ethical policies, location, offered packages, company structure and friendliness and capabilities of their staff.
We ended up choosing Eagle Track zip-line conveniently located just a short drive to the north of Chiang Mai city. It goes without saying that their safety standards and records are impeccable and their staff friendly and knowledgeable, but what really sold us in the end were their company policies that differ from most zip-line providers and a variety of zip-line platforms they have on offer. They are a community based company that works in co-operation with conservation group in Bann Wang Hang. They regularly monitor the hillside area to ensure the earth banks and paths around the villages are not eroded or damaged by their operations. What’s more, they also provide opportunity to local villagers to work for their company and offer them training and employment with fair pay and benefits. By working with them, we know that we’re also contributing to livelihood of local tribal villages.
But choosing the right zip-lining operator is only first part of a successful and fun zip-lining adventure. Once you’re on sight, your instructor will brief you on safety and it’s imperative to take the time and listen to him for maximum safety on your zip-lining adventure. Once these two steps are covered, you’re in for an experience of your lifetime!
